The Varsity

The Varsity, Atlanta, Georgia.

The Varsity has definitely made a name for themselves in Atlanta and beyond, simple menu and fast service are the hallmarks of this establishment.

Honestly, the dogs aren't all that special, but it's still a fun place to eat.

Nu Way

Nu Way, Macon, Georgia.

Established in 1916, this may well be the oldest hot dog place around, and they've been serving chili dogs ever since.

The unique red color of the dogs takes a bit of getting used to, but the flavor has immediate appeal.

Hot Diggity Dogs

Hot Diggity Dogs, Nashville, Tennessee.

Stumbled upon this little place near downtown, great Chicago dogs.

Interstate BBQ

Interstate BBQ, Memphis, Tennessee.

Quite possibly some of the best BBQ, ever. We hit Interstate every time we get anywhere near Memphis, and often try to stay overnight just so we can eat there again.

Their BBQ Spaghetti sounds strange, but tastes great, and their BBQ Bologna sandwich is the only bologna my wife will eat. Great ribs, brisket, and all the other usual BBQ items.

Hot Dog Heaven

Hot Dog Heaven, Tucson, Arizona.

Found this place just off I-10 as we were driving through, good variety with some unique twists and local flavors. Good eats...

Pinks

Pinks, Hollywood, Callifornia

No visit to Hollywood would be complete without a stop at Pinks. An almost endless variety of dogs, all tasty, and guaranteed to send you back for more napkins.

Golden Gate

Golden Gate, Las Vegas, Nevada

Located down on Freemont Street, this place has the BEST 99 cent shrimp cocktail you can find for under a dollar. Served in a sundae glass, it's nothing but shrimp and coctail sauce, no celery, lettuce, or other filler.

Autozone Park

Autozone Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Home of the Memphis Redbirds, this ballpark has many tasty treats for the baseball fan. Pictured below is 'The Big Dog', a half pound chili dog w/cheese and onion rings on top. Below that are the BBQ Nachos, with plenty of pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and a dry rub seasoning.

620 Cafe

620 Cafe, Round Rock, Texas

A nice little place near home with plenty of country cooking. Pictured below is a new item on their menu, Chicken Fried Bacon. It's as tasty as it sounds.

Lake Effect Diner

Lake Effect Diner, Buffalo, New York

Great little diner, lots of great dishes, and their breakfasts are great. The family ordered four different selections, portions were large and prices were reasonable, all tasty.

Anchor Bar

Anchor Bar, Buffalo, New York

This is the home of the Buffalo Wing, any wing lover should definitely pay a visit. To be honest, I've had better elsewhere, but this is where it all started, and they were still darned good.

Eager hands couldn't wait for me to snap a pic before digging in... The long wing on the right without sauce was to try their 'suicide' sauce. Definitely tasty, but not as hot as they'd lead you to believe.
