As is probably the case with most blogs out there, this will be my own personal soapbox for sharing items that interest me, including, but not limited to, various things Macintosh, cool technology, irreverant humor, outright rants, car talk, politics, and whatever else strikes my fancy. In short, there's no particular theme. ;) I make no guarantees about how often content will be updated, but generally there will be a few updates a week on various topics.
Unlike most blogs, I don't have comments enabled. However, if you have you own blog, I do have Trackback enabled, please feel free to link back to any of my topics here if you wish. I may at some point turn comments on, but I've seen too many blogs get out of control with comments from guest users.
This site uses Movable Type as the main software for creating the blog entries. It's a nice package, and runs well on the Mac. The hardware for this site is a PowerMac G4, 500Mhz, 512Mb RAM, and a 20Gb hard drive, running Mac OS X 10.3.3 (or generally whatever is the latest update). I may upgrade it at some point, but it's doing the job for now. It's also acting as a mail server for my domain name. There are blog entries here and here about the web and email part of things, giving much more info.
